Kirsten Ross, SPHR graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts dual major in Employment Relations and Socio-Economics in 1988. While pursuing this degree she became interested in the unique challenges facing professional women. In her senior year she did a research project on the shortage of quality childcare and the disparities in options between socio-economic levels. Kirsten also received a Masters in Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University in 1990. During the course of this study, she co-authored an article on Child and Dependent Care benefits which was published in the Journal of Public Personnel Management, Winter, 1993. In 1996 Kirsten received the distinguished designation of Senior Professional Human Resources. She has worked in the Human Resource field for 11 years and has continued to be an advocate for improving employee work-family balance. In addition, Kirsten is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise. She has shared the philosophy of life balance with her clients and is committed to helping people live happier, more energetic lives. She is the mother of 2 boys, Eric and Daniel.
